I love this book! Thought-provoking, tightly-written, humorous and poignant -- all in all, a numinous & unique read. I bought a little stack of them and have been handing them out as birthday gifts. Glad to see you stumbled on Sum too!

I find it difficult to capture my reading behavior in multiple choices!

I prefer a plot-driven novel that slowly unfolds in fruity and lush prose, with multiple layers and allusion that indulge my mind long after I turn the last page like the lingering aftertaste of a good glass of wine.

I usually start just before the second book comes out (if I know it's a series) because if I liked the first one, then I can dive pretty much straight into the second one, but if I don't end up liking the series, no skin off my nose.

Granted, that makes for waiting between books 3 (and following), but then I have two books I can re-read if I need a fix.

Aw, I'm sorry, Erin! I know just how you feel though. The year in between books is just interminable. I was dying for The Hunger Games sequel even before I finished it, I think!

Prophecy IS book one in a three-book series already under contract with Little Brown. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read and review it, and I hope you'll still remember me when book two comes out.

And yes... I've always been a bit of a drama queen!

Wow. I am not even interested in spinning my own wool or growing my own garden, yet I am compelled to at least pick up this book and look through it. It is such a different kind of book and it sounds like it would have interesting tips in it. You know a review is good if it makes someone be interested in something they weren't before reading the review!
